🎨Chicory: A Colorful Tale has you solving the puzzles not only in game but also of your heart. Prepare to finish this journey with a new introspection on how to view yourself.
From the creators of Wandersong and Celeste, this top down adventure game has you searching through cities and towns for the missing artist Chicory.
As you speak to the townsfolk along the way the mystery of why Chicory disappeared, and why the world lost all of it's color, gets more and more mysterious. At the top of their game and pinnacle of their career, no one expected this to happen. Taking it upon yourself to find Chicory, you'll weave through forests, dungeons, and towns with only the paint brush they left behind and the belief that anything is possible if you just believe in yourself enough.
That belief will be unexpectedly challenged throughout the game as you become more an more unsure of yourself, wondering if you should've started this exploration in the first place.
A darkness is creeping along, and it's up to you to stop it (or is it?).Highlights:-YOU CAN PAINT ON EVERYTHING!!!-Boss battles!-Over 100+ animals to meet and discover-Collect clothes secretly hidden throughout-Take an art class-Volunteer at the pizza shop-Get a bus pass -Get a job

The method for giving out hints is perfect, I love it. The fact that you can get a little hint or a direct answer in what to do next by way of phone booth is well thought out.
However I get very very lost very very easily, irl and in-game. While a map is provided, it's tucked away in the menu. Personally a mini map or direction arrows help tremendously and I enjoy the game that much more if these are at least options. I spent way too long trying to remember how to get back and sometimes the map wasn't even enough to answer that.
Overall I really enjoyed this game! Namibunny scores it 4 emotionally stable paint brushes out of 5BTW
